LOS ANGELES - March 6, 2020 - Zimbell House Publishing today announced that AFTERLIFE, Book One in "The Arcadia Chronicles" sci-fi fantasy series, will have its launch and author signing event Saturday, March 14, 12:00pm at the Barnes & Noble bookstore, Burbank Town Center, 731 N San Fernando Blvd, Burbank, CA 91502.

Author J.K. Ishaya ("Corvus Rex," "The Kinship of Stars"), author-filmmaker Kenneth Mader ("Displacement"), and cover model Courtney Hope ("The Bold and the Beautiful," "Displacement") will be in attendance to sign copies of their book and take photos with guests, along with co-creators Debra Hopkins (Founder and President of Breaking The Chains Foundation) and Gerald Hopkins ("General Hospital") to share their unique collaborative journey of taking this project from an award-winning short film, PASSING DARKNESS, to a published novel and book series. Other film and TV celebrities are expected to attend.

J.K. Ishaya, a former Los Angeles resident, is the author of the fantasy-horror novel series Corvus Rex, for which she also wrote and directed an extensive trailer. She also penned the award-winning short film VIRIDESCENT, which had its world premiere at the TLC Chinese Theater in the Beverly Hills Film Festival.

Kenneth Mader, a Burbank resident, is an award-winning screenwriter and director whose latest feature film DISPLACEMENT enjoyed a multi-city U.S. theatrical release, had its broadcast premiere on the Lifetime Movie Network, and was curated by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for inclusion in their historical Margaret Herrick Library. This is his first novel.

Courtney Hope is a model and actress best known for her starring role as Sally Spectra in "The Bold and The Beautiful." She also starred in the lead role of Cassie Sinclair in Mr. Mader's DISPLACEMENT, plays the main character in the award-winning video game CONTROL, and has modeled for many companies such as Guess, BEBE (runway), JC Penney, Domyos Fitness, Stairmaster and Nike.

AFTERLIFE was released by Zimbell House Publishing on February 11, 2020 in Hardcover and eBook, and vaulted immediately into the top 10% on Amazon's Bestseller Ranking. It is available wherever books are sold. The Paperback Edition will release on May 12, 2020 and is now available for pre-order, with an audio book version to follow.
