KOPAVOGUR, Iceland - March 3, 2020 - The Icelander that has been sharing his story on www.thenordical.com with journalists and has since been posted on thousands of other news channels and websites worldwide where Kristinn Spence who states to be a man that stands against corruption, injustice, and violence in any form who also is sharing his own personal experiences in the process has announced that he has received hundreds of support messages and emails from people that seem to be affiliated with various NGO's that stand with survivors of violence and has stated that anyone who is against violence should join in on any online platform they use and post a photo of them holding a sign with the hashtag or a text post with the hashtag on Friday, the 6th march at around 17:00 CST but anytime over the day will be great.
The worldwide event is being organized to show survivors of the world that they are not alone and that there is no shame in telling your story to the world but those who try to silence your story should be ashamed of participating in the silence and should rethink on their moral compasses because people should be free to express themselves even if you have a story that doesn't fit in or sit well with everyone then we have to take action for the betterment of society and to let the voices of the people who have been victims be heard and to empower them to feel no shame in doing it and create a system that protects everyone equally.
Thousands have already signed on to the Facebook event that can be found when searching for "#Stopthesilence rally for global peace" that is being put together by Kristinn Spence and the NGO where they encourage everyone to show solitude to the cause and show the world that survivors are everywhere and there is no shame in telling your story.
But there are always those who cling on to the old way of thinking of having shame for feelings and sensitive subjects and want to silence everything that is mildly inconvenient and others just don't have the emotional capabilities to handle too much pressure but we are in different times today here and people have to get with it because everyone's story will be said at some point and where will you be standing will define you as a person if you think about it, will you be the one showing solitude and support and will you be the person that others know you were there when they needed you and will you be permanently recognized for that or will you cling on to old mentalities that keep you down from growing just because it made you uncomfortable to feel, the question is what matters more feeling comfortable at all times or doing the right thing towards people, the answer is easy to figure out but some have trouble following up so that's why we need awareness and awakening to happen so everyone can feel comfortable both sharing and so others can feel comfortable supporting victims.
We will join and show our support on march 6th and hope the entire world does as well.
For the victims of violence in any form that most of us already have seen or experienced in some form or way personally and then felt shame or someone delivered shame to us, this is for us and them so we can all understand each other and live in harmony.
