MILLVILLE, N.J. - Feb. 17, 2020 - "Small businesses are the heartbeat of New Jersey and America's economy," stated exploring Progressive Democratic Candidate Erica Collins who will kick off her "Listening To YOU Tour" Sunday, February 23rd, 2020 at the ARTS CAFE 230 N. High Street in the preserved arts district of Millville, New Jersey from 12:00-3:00pm.
"I believe in entrepreneurship and innovation. Small businesses should have an equal voice and opportunity because they represent the true economics of Americans and provide close to half the jobs. The Small Business Jobs Act creates jobs and can revitalize a town's economy. We need to support and build on the success by buying local and providing more small business resources, because it's vital to your own community," Collins stated.
Inviting the community of South Jersey to "BRING YOUR ART", Collins is encouraging members of the community to express themselves through forms of art and performance on issues in their community such as healthcare, education, climate change, economic justice, gender equality, equal justice and housing at the ARTS CAFE owned by Angela Philippousis-Kanos who was acknowledged by the Cumberland County Board of Freeholders with the Pride in Millville Award 2019.
A strong advocate of women owned businesses, Erica Collins spoke at the Business and Women's Professional organization in Tennessee on women's rights while highlighting the increase in minority women owned businesses.
Also, Collins was a moderator and speaker at the Rutger's University Food Innovation Center in Bridgeton, NJ encouraging entrepreneurs to reach their goals and dreams in the specialty food industry.
