RALEIGH, N.C. - Feb. 17, 2020 - Megan Oteri, North Carolina LEGO® innovator, is one of only 400 global thought leaders invited to participate in the LEGO® Idea Conference in Denmark from March 9-11, 2020. The theme of this year's conference is creativity: "to explore how creativity happens and the practical approaches that can be implemented to help cultivate creativity."
Ms. Oteri, founder of Brick Scholars, leads LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® workshops for executives, teams, and students around the state. She is a certified LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® workshop facilitator and business consultant working with clients throughout the United States. She is the ambassador for the Agency for Cultural Diplomacy "Let's Brick" platform in Vienna, Austria where she facilitates programs in the US that use creativity as a means for communication and cultural diplomacy.
An innovative educator for over 15 years, she has taught in schools in Wyoming and North Carolina, and has worked as a teaching artist for arts councils and business. She is currently a leading expert and popular presenter on the topic of creativity and playful learning in the classroom.
Oteri holds a bachelors of arts degree in Special and Elementary Education and a Master's degree in English, with a focus on Creative Writing. She has presented at state and national conferences and her writing and photography have been featured in national and international publications.
