BASKING RIDGE, N.J. - Feb. 16, 2020 - Under the Great Oak obtains North American Distribution and announces Montclair Art Museum Screening
The story of Basking Ridge's Great Oak, America's oldest white oak tree, will soon be reaching all of North America.
Under the Great Oak, the award-winning feature-length documentary about the life and death of the Great Oak, will be released by 1091 Media on March 24, making the film available on demand and on digital.
1091 Media is a global commercial distribution platform based in Los Angeles, known for the Oscar-nominated films Life, Animated and Cartel Land as well as films that have amassed 14 Independent Spirt Awards.
Under the Great Oak will be available for rental and purchase through iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, X-Box and more.
To celebrate the film's release, Under the Great Oak will be screening on April 2nd at the prestigious Montclair Art Museum. The screening is part of the museum's Free First Thursday program. From 6:00 to 7:00 pm there will live musical performances of songs from the soundtrack, as well as an exhibit of Great Oak art. The screening begins at 7:00 pm after an introduction by the filmmakers. At 8:00 pm there will begin a panel discussion and audience Q&A. There is no admission fee for the museum or the screening.
