Fennemore Craig Doubles Down on Business

PHOENIX - Jan. 31, 2020 - NLJ 250 firm Fennemore Craig announced today that it is building on the record success its legal professionals have achieved for clients and the firm with several internal promotions and a new hire designed to continue its ongoing effort to align the firm's talent and resources with the needs of the business community. The changes come as the firm's Chief Operating Officer, Kathy Hancock, retires from the firm after 18 years of stellar service.

"We've thrived as a firm for 135 years because we're always innovating, evolving, and transforming," said Fennemore Craig Chief Executive Officer James Goodnow. "Kathy Hancock has been an invaluable team member, an incomparable leader, and a class act for 18 years. We will miss her greatly."

Over the past several years, the firm has embarked on a deliberate strategy to better respond to the needs of clients, and results have followed. "2019 was a banner year for our clients and the firm," Goodnow said. "Our lawyers successfully helped clients close some of the biggest deals and navigate the highest-stake matters in the western U.S." He added, "This focus on clients has also been good for Fennemore Craig as we've outperformed peer firms in almost every measurable metric, including financial statistics, number of new clients added, employee job satisfaction, and employee retention. Our goal is to use this foundation to take positive client outcomes to even greater heights."

As part of a new "C-suite" structure, the firm announced the following promotions:

Cheryl Cecil: Chief People Officer. In her new role, Cecil will manage the strategy and processes related to building and retaining an exceptional team of employees, develop a well-defined company culture, and optimize people-centered activities that support the company's mission, vision, and values.

Dean Seiveno: Chief Enterprise Officer. As Chief Enterprise Officer, Seiveno will tackle major firm projects and initiatives to ensure the firm is constantly innovating and driving change. From technology to operations, Seiveno's leadership will deliver the execution of forward-thinking strategies.

Lindsay Moellenberndt: Chief Business Development Director. Moellenberndt's new title reflects the firm's commitment to building relationships with the business community, strengthening the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation, and securing value for clients from these relationships.

The above team members will work closely with firm's other C-suite members, Chief Financial Officer, Dave Bassuk, and its Chief Talent Officer, Bob Kramer.

Additionally, firm leadership announced that Donna Mostrom has joined the firm to serve as Chief of Staff and Marketing Director. Mostrom, who holds an MBA, ran her own consulting firm, and has Fortune 500 experience, will lead the firm's marketing team and work closely on business strategy with the rest of the C-suite and the firm's Management Committee. "Fennemore Craig has established itself as one of the most innovative players in the legal space, and I'm over-the-moon about working with the talented marketing and leadership teams to further contribute to the firm's success."
