1,900 exhibition booths, Korea Food Tech Conference, and ‘Top Patissier Asia’ contest drew big crowds for Korea’s largest food expo.
December 3rd 2019, SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA – The 2019 edition of Coex Food Week, from November 20th to 23rd, saw an incredible 44,125 visitors and buyers flock to browse and buy from 1,943 booths across the global food and beverage industry.
Core themes for the 2019 show were food tech, food packaging, local ingredients, health ingredients, farmed foods, and baked goods. The show spread across all four exhibition halls of Coex; Korea’s largest and busiest events center.
Coex Food Week 2019 also included the Top Patisserie Patissier Asia competition, held for the first time this year in South Korea, and won by China’s Wang Jisong, Wang Sheng, and LV Haoran). There were also live cooking shows from celebrity chefs, including Raymon Kim, as well as hands-on baking and alcohol brewing classes for guests.
The Korea Food Tech Conference, held alongside Coex Food Week, welcomed 250 attendees who enjoyed seminars from leading international names in the global food and beverage industry, including Rusty Schwartz of Kitchen Town, Bruce Friedrich of The Good Food Institute, and Soh Kim of Stanford University.
Since its launch in 2006, Coex Food Week has grown to become Korea’s leading trade show for the global food and beverage industry, welcoming a large number of business participants wishing to explore trade opportunities and industry trends.
