ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Oct. 29, 2019 - Beacon Media + Marketing co-founders Adrienne Wilkerson and Jennifer Christensen are presenting at the Women's Power League of Alaska 49th State Women's Forum: Rising United in early November. They will be sharing from their combined experience of over 20 years in the local marketing industry, and as female co-owners of the local gone national digital marketing agency, Beacon Media + Marketing, offering best practices for personal branding as it applies to women creators. The forum takes place at the Hotel Captain Cook on November 4th from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Interested parties can get tickets for $99 on the event's Facebook page.
Wilkerson and Christensen have been speaking together on marketing topics since nearly the beginning of their business relationship over 7 years ago. Their individual speaking experience extends much further and includes topics such as women in business, entrepreneurship, and leadership. Both women hold several awards including Woman of the Year (Wilkerson), Marketer of the Year (Christensen), and Marketing Visionary of the Year, an award they won together. In 2018, they co-authored a book, Digital Marketing Roadmap: An Inbound Guide for the Busy Entrepreneur. Their audiences have ranged from large to small, from general contractors to peony farmers to midwives.
The co-founders are avid supporters of women in business. Wilkerson is a business mentor with the Women's Power League of Alaska and a founding board member of Women in Digital. Christensen is a former board member with the Alaska Women's Leadership Forum and the former co-director of Women Entrepreneurs of Alaska. The Women's Power League of Alaska is a "network of professionals united for the purpose of strengthening Alaska through the empowerment of women," according to their website. They seek to "champion future and existing leaders in the 49th state through mentorship, professional development, and community building." Wilkerson and Christensen will provide personal branding expertise to the women who attend the forum in November.
