Lead school in Pilani Smt Jamuna Mishra Academy JMA hosts 1RAJ(I)COY NCC (JD) Troop No 23/2 from 2015 and presently has 50 cadets which includes 36 boys and 14 girls. JMA was established in the year 2004 at Pilani which is considered as Oasis in the desert state of Rajasthan. Matter of Pride that alumni of JMA Pilani are pursuing higher education in various institutions which include Birla Institute of Technology and Science BITS Pilani which is one of the Institutions of Eminence and Banasthali Vidyapith which is not only in various QS Rankings but also in Times Higher Education THE World Rankings as one among the best 3 - 4% global universities and Second Best Women’s University in the world.
13 NCC cadets (9 boys and 4 Girls) of JMA Pilani attended camp during 10 – 19 Oct 2019 at Piramal Schholl Bagad Rajasthan. The camp included a poster competition on Swachh Bhrat theme and awareness sessions about hygiene, health and road safety. Every day evening various sports competitions like tug of war, volleyball, kho kho were held. JMA NCC troop boys got first position in drill. Girl cadet Harshita got first position in firing and best cadet award.
In a brief function held on 21 Oct 2019 at the school premises, Principal Mrs Booma Natarajan said that National Cadet Corps NCC inculcates in the cadets courage, self confidence, spirit of selfless service, a feeling of patriotism, power of thought etc which are essential to make the youth in nation at large disciplined as well as dutiful and congratulated the NCC cadets along with officer in-charge Sri Vikas Sharma for adding glory to the school name.
