BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Oct. 10, 2019 -BOYNTON BEACH, FL (October 23, 2019) – Dog Activity World (DAWG), a revolutionary day care and boarding facility for dogs, is celebrating their grand opening on Wednesday, October 23, 5 pm at 1510 SW 8th Street, near Home Depot off Woolbright Road.
"Our mission is to provide a new kind of day care and boarding facility where dogs can be free to run, play, and socialize with each other," said Hannah Wickins, CEO and Founder, Dog Activity World Group. "Dogs of every breed and size need to exercise and interact with other dogs and people who care for them and respond to their unique personalities."
The spacious air-conditioned facility is uniquely designed to accommodate dogs of different breeds and sizes in a safe and fun environment. "It is a whole new concept in dog day care and pet humanization," the Boynton Beach resident told the city commission when presenting her plans, which they approved.
Wickins added, "The official launch of DAWG includes doggie day care services, boarding, grooming, training, photography, doggy Pawties, facility rentals, and an indoor Dog Park. We have specially trained staff that warmly welcomes each of our canine patrons and gets them situated in the play parks suitable to their temperament."
The idea for DAWG came from Wickins' personal experience boarding her dog when she travelled for business. She was never happy with the level of care or communication and she decided to "revolutionize the whole process."
The 20,000 square-foot indoor air-conditioned play-space features play structures, ball pits, brain-stimulating games, splash zones, and a 160-foot lure run. The floors are constructed with 100 percent permeable K9 turf with a full drainage system underneath. The space can also be utilized as a hurricane shelter.
Security features make sure that dogs are properly identified in the process of arrival and departure. DAWG keeps photo IDs, passwords on file, security cameras accessible throughout the facility, break away collars, colored and numbered ID tags to identify medical, private care and special needs.
In order to attend the facility, every dog has to be registered and go through careful temperament testing. Canine Concierge Members will assist with registration and setting up the temperament test.
DAWG also provides the proper facilities and staff to handle private care dogs. Boarding is available, with staff on-site 24/7, 365 days a year. Luxury and regular suites are available for overnight stays.
