COON RAPIDS, Minn. - Oct. 9, 2019 -Rapids Honda, the newest member of the Greater Twin Cities Honda Dealers Association (GTCHDA), will donate $2,500 to both Coon Rapids High School and Anoka High School in ceremonies on October 9. This is the first time Rapids Honda will be participating in the "Life is Better Thanks to Greater Twin Cities Honda Dealers" campaign since opening in May of this year.
Under the "Life is Better Thanks to Greater Twin Cities Honda Dealers" campaign, each dealer selects a local school for a special donation to further the group's mission to be actively involved in improving the community. To date, the association has donated more than $75,000 to local schools.
"As a new Honda dealer in Minnesota, we were excited to join these eight excellent dealers in their mission to improve education and give back to our community," said Roy Lacey, General Manager of Rapids Honda.
"This donation will allow us to provide a lot of important materials for our students," said Dean Joslin, the Career & Tech Ed Instructor at Anoka High School. "I will be sure these funds get put to good use. It will really help us get equipment for our automotive classes."
Tom Develice, the Activities Director for Coon Rapids High School, helped orchestrate the donation. "These kids are incredibly hardworking and dedicated to their education, said Develice. "This donation will do a lot to help them thrive."
