WooCommerce One Click Upsell Funnel Pro has provided an update to authenticate stripe payments to make it more secure.
Recently, to make payments more secure in the European region, Strong Customer Authentication(SCA) has been implemented to authenticate the electronic payments. This’ll require customers to validate every payment before completing any online transaction.
What Is SCA?
It's a part of the Payment Services Directive(PSD2) which ensures the payment online sellers are receiving is genuine.
This’ll affect those businesses that are based in the European Economic Area(EEA) and accept online payments.
It’s been implemented from 14th September 2019 and no payments will be completed without SCA from now.
Because of this change, Banks will decline all those payments that take place in the European region and don’t follow the SCA requirements.
What MakeWebBetter Has For You?
MakeWebBetter has introduced an update in its best selling plugin WooCommerce One Click Upsell Funnel Pro to tackle this change. This v3.2.0 update will allow users to meet the new SCA requirements and authenticate all stripe payments.
The authentication will be done on the checkout page once and the later upsells or renewal payments will be processed automatically and authentication won't be required again.
For recurring payments like subscriptions, bills, etc. it was complex for merchants to authenticate an off-session payment where the user isn’t present on their site or app.
With this new update, the customer will be asked once for the authentication at the initial payment. When he authenticates the payment for the first time, an Intent ID is generated which will be used in future to deduct the subscription amount.
Don’t miss out on the chance to make your customer’s purchase easier and shorter with WooCommerce One Click Upsell Funnel Pro. The updated version can be downloaded from here: makewebbetter.com/my-acco…downloads/
