Community Partnership Brings Fitness To Deaf and Hard of Hearing

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - Aug. 27, 2019 - According to the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders, (https://www.nidcd.nih.gov/health/statistics/quick-statistics-hearing) an estimated 37.5 million American adults aged 18 and over report some trouble hearing, including an estimated 738,000 with hearing loss at the severe to profound level. The Hard of Hearing form a large market of potential gym goers. The need to encourage physical fitness by making classes and the gyms more accessible has never been so great.

Sign & Sweat makes modifications to existing group fitness classes and adapted exercise programs to provide an environment where those experiencing any form of hearing loss feel included, comfortable, and capable of exercising!
