STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. - Aug. 18, 2019 - Henry County Women In Business is hosting The Southern Crescent's First Funding Pitch on August 28th 2019, at JW Event Suite in Stockbridge, Georgia, from 5pm to 8pm. Henry County Women In Business, a Subsidiary of Southern Crescent Women In Business, is excited about the opportunity to help fund a woman owned business and help with their own ecosystem. There is an amazing power packed panel of business leaders from across the state who will inspire these women and assist in judging. These business leaders include Financial Expert and Author, Tarra "Madam Money" Jackson, the Chair of the Henry County Chamber, Sharon Ponder, to Celebrity Chef Carlos Brown, who has built his successful career and Coastal Inspired cuisine working with celebrities such as Oprah, as well as JW Event Suite Co-Owner Angela White, who was a successful corporate banker before going into entrepreneurship, and more expert panelists. U.S. Small Business Administration District Director, Terri L. Denison, will also be one of our special guests.

The Funding Pitch will consist of several women owned businesses who are looking to grow or start their business. In a Shark Tank style, the women will have an opportunity to share about their business or product, its potential growth, and why they should win the opportunity to be funded. Investors from major corporations will also be present and will be willing to take a look at all the contestants for future partnerships. This historical event is the first of its kind in the Southern Crescent and the magnitude of what this means to a small business is major. The winner will also receive a financial and business coach, who will assist in strategic accountability and growth.
