SAN ANTONIO - Aug. 17, 2019 - Today 1017 Records announced the artist acquisition of San Antonio rap artist "Young Steen". Working with the 1017 Brick Squad brand is a llfe long dream come true! Young Steen grew up with heavy influence from "The Ghetto Boys, Paul Wall, Riff Raff, Chamillionare, Mike Jones, Bun B, and Crystal Wall".

The music scene is heavily saturated in the San Antonio/Houston area. The rapper is certain to be a factor added to the list of notables. He describes his melodic art as 'New Wave Music'. He is the "maestro" meaning he does it all; composer, producer, engineer, and performer.

"When you are a solo artist and a struggling one you learn to make do." Over A period of time "The make do, makes you an expert." None of that made a difference to Mack Drama, CEO and Executive Producer of 1017 Brick Squad Records. "I was intoduced to Young Steen about two years ago," says Mack Drama. "Young Steen had done a series of mixtapes with 1017 mixologist DJ Krave1017(RegisteredTrademark of 1017 Brick Squad Records). The one singular aspect that really encouraged me into working on "A Deal", was his consistancey. It told me alot about his character," Drama continues.

"We are looking at artist who, inspite of all the odds,adversity they encounter and live with on daily basis, they still manage some how to remain unscathed. That in and of itself is worth us affording them this opportunity," says the CEO.
