WESTERLY, R.I. - Aug. 16, 2019 - In an effort to enhance its local professional network, Mystic Sweets has joined the Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce for at least the next year. After years in the southeastern Connecticut market and wholesales stretching throughout the New England region, owner and primary product designer Rita Lara felt it was right to focus on developing relationships closer to the retail and production facilities where Mystic Sweets primarily operates.

"The Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce is over 700 members strong and we are delighted to welcome Mystic Sweets as our newest member! This is an exciting local company and we are committed to helping them expand their customer base and overall operations in the region and beyond", said Lisa Konicki, President of the OCCC.

"Our production facility is located in the Pawcatuck area of Stonington near the high school. It made sense to join the OCCC because of all the great promotional work they do for their members and the region surrounding Westerly, Rhode Island.", Rita Lara of Mystic Sweets said before continuing, "We're looking forward to seeing how we can participate in the programs Ocean Community Chamber has put together."

As the busy tourist season comes to a close, it will be exciting to see how these two organizations prosper together through the holidays and new year.
