This is especially true if it is their first time having a little one. They are probably anxious about everything from baby clothes to which color they should paint their future baby’s room. Worrying over pink and blue can be ended with knowing the gender of their baby once and for all. However, before reading on, it should be very clear that the only way to get an accurate prediction of the gender of the baby is through medical examinations such as ultrasound and other diagnostic examinations. But if they just want to have fun using some superstitious beliefs and old wives’ tales, then read on to know how you can predict the baby’s gender.
Predict a baby’s gender using the Chinese gender chart. According to rumors, this chart was found buried in a tomb in Beijing seven hundred years ago. To predict the baby’s gender, you must first know the Chinese age of the baby’s mother at conception and the month of conception based on the Chinese lunar month. Once you know these two things, look at the Chinese gender chart and cross-reference them in order to know the gender of the baby. Note that this is not an accurate prediction and is meant for entertainment only. Do not take the results too seriously.
Predict a baby’s gender based on its heart rate. According to this theory, if the fetal heart rate is 140 bpm (beats per minute) or above, then the baby is probably a girl. On the other hand, if the fetal heart rate is under 140 bpm, then it is probably a boy. Although fetal heart rate is easy to measure, keep in mind that there is no actual evidence that supports the accuracy of this theory. Hence, do not make judgments regarding the baby’s gender based on this theory alone.
Predict a baby’s gender using the wedding ring or needle method. To do this method, find a wedding ring or a needle first. Then, attach it to a strand of hair or a thread. Let this item dangle over the belly of the pregnant mom. Do this while she is lying down. According to this method, it is a boy if the item moves like a pendulum over the mother’s belly. On the other hand, if the item circles around the mother’s belly then it is a girl. This method can also be done over the mother’s wrist if the mother cannot lie down. Once more, this method is not accurate so do not readily believe its findings.
Predict a baby’s gender according to the mother’s sweet tooth. It is said that if the expectant mother craves sweets such as fruits and chocolates, then she is carrying a girl. On the other hand, if she is craving meat and salty foods, then it is a boy.
Keep in mind that all of the methods mentioned above are not accurate. If you want a more accurate result, an ultrasound when the mother is over four months pregnant is the most precise method for predicting the baby's gender.
