How to Know If People Are Spying on Your Computer
In Windows XP and Vista, it is impossible for two users to connect to one computer simultaneously. However, software exists that can hack this process. By detecting this software, a computer owner can discover whether or not someone is spying on her computer. Then, steps can be taken to stop the snooping
Instructions
1
Check through your list of programs to determine if a piece of remote control software is installed on your computer. These programs will usually have the acronym "VNC" within the title. Programs without the VNC in the title are LogMeIn and GoToMyPC. These programs can be set to run in the background without your knowledge. If you did not install these programs, someone is likely spying on your computer. Simply check through all your programs and then Google them to determine if they are programs you would like on your computer.
2
Check for hidden VNC programs by clicking "Start," "Control Panel" and "Windows Firewall."
3.Check the exceptions tab and identify programs that are allowed by your computer to be run through the ports. If there are any programs that you cannot identify, Google them to see if they are VNC programs.

Press "Alt" "Ctrl" and "Delete" simultaneously to bring up the Windows Task Manager. Click "Processes" and check to see if any processes are being run under a name other than yours. If so, someone is likely spying on your computer. You can terminate this process if you want or try to find out who is running this process.
