Ecological entrepreneurship has the potential of becoming the most developed sector of agriculture and aquaculture in the medium to long-term future, as ecologically sustainable business strategies become the focus of major business development projects.
To maximize the profit and generate sustainable business growth, prospective eco business owners need a solid understanding of the basic principles behind eco business development. While ecological agriculture and aquaculture are relatively easy to develop, a solid understanding of the business and ecology principles behind them and a grasp of the most effective business strategies are crucial for sustainable business development.
The Institute of Ecolonomics was founded in 1993 by the prominent actor Dennis Weaver, and has since helped many business owners develop their own eco business. The non-profit organization strives to help aspiring entrepreneurs develop their ecological business ideas into solid businesses, thus generating beneficial effects both for business owners and for the planet.
A significant portion of the companys efforts go into eco business research at the Norther Colorado Center for Economic Excellence and Development (CEED).
In an effort to help prospective business owners develop their own eco businesses, The Institute of Ecolonomics launched the Controlled Environment Agriculture series. The webinar will be hosted by two world-leaders in ecologically-sustainable agriculture - Dave Roeser of Garden Fresh Farms in Minnesota and Jerry Peloquin of Family Fish Farms in Washington, DC. The two experts will hold courses on a variety of eco business topics and will also host many other prominent speakers.
The webinar series will be held on every Thursday starting February 9 and the registration is completely free.
