Contemporary Jeet Kune Do instructor Darin Hemmer, founder of DC Jeet Kune Do (DCJKD), has launched a website featuring the most modern and up to date martial arts training programs by high level instructors using Progressive Fighting Systems, enabling attendees to learn the skills in just a few sessions.

Jeet Kune Do, way of the intercepting fist, was originally founded by Bruce Lee as a highly effective street martial art. The contemporary self defense system, as offered by DCJKD, is based on the principles of directness and simplicity and has been taught to various government agencies, such as Seal Team 6, FBI, DEA and others, military, MMA champions, Brazilian JuJitsu (BJJ) blackbelts and highly trained individuals.
DCJKD offers a series of training programs to attendees, including the above-mentioned core contemporary Jeet Kune Do martial art, and also: semi private lessons, for small groups of 4 or 5, ideal for families or close friends enabling a group experience with greater one on one instructor attention; private lessons, for an accelerated learning experience with direct one on one instruction; a 10 hour course on military edged weapons; and soon to be launched, a free, two hour women's self defense course. It's street defense course covers four primary areas of combat in four 90-minute sessions, being: hand to hand combat, which includes rapid assault (Navy Seal) tactics, defense against grabs and headlocks, and more; edged weapons combat, including five basic angles, knife defense with knife versus knife and empty hand, knife drills and more; ground combat, including kicking from the ground, getting up from the ground, basic defense against mount and guard, and an introduction to Kino Mutai; and finally, mass attack combat, covering two on one, three on one, 'fog of war' (everyone is the enemy), proper footwork and do's and don'ts of mass attack.
Hemmer, DCJKD founder, is a member of Paul Vunak's Descendants of the Masters Program Instructors' Club launched in 2010, a succession of Vunak's Progressive Fighting Systems academy set up under the guidance of his own instructor, protege, training partner and best friend of Bruce Lee, the guru Dan Inosanto. Together Lee and Inosanto developed Jeet Kune Do as a street effective, self defense martial art, whilst Vunak, having also trained with the renowned Gracie family, was the first to combine BJJ with Kino Mutai.
