The annual holy Amarnath Yatra dates for 2014 have been announced. The 44 day Amarnath yatra 2014 would commence from 28th June and shall conclude on 10th August 2014. 7500 yatris on per route per day basis would be allowed to register. However, this registration does not include yatris who would travel by Helicopter.

It has also been announced that the pilgrims in possession of valid Yatra Permit would be provided an insurance cover of Rs.1 Lac against accidental death within the State during the entire period of the Yatra 2014.
