CHARLESTON, S.C. -- 2013 was a particularly productive year for James Island resident, Robert Britt. He released four new books through Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) Network.
The first book was a work of fiction, Someone Else’s Tomorrow – A tale of transformation, which was originally released in 2007. It tells the story of a man whose life was turned upside down through a clerical error. The main character goes through a series of events which teach life lessons in the context of the story. It is a humorous tale and light reading, but may leave you rethinking your current path.
The second book, Blaze Motors, is a novel in the historical fiction category. It tells the story of the Blazek family, their struggles in Poland during World War Two and their migration to the United States. It is also about love and overcoming adversity.
Britt’s third book is Write Here, Write Now, No Excuses. It is a how to guide on writing. It covers organizing your thoughts, structuring your story and getting your work published through the Kindle platform. It is a step-by-step guide to writing and how to get out of your own way and get it done. Reviewers have described this book as “a how to guide that is spot on” and “a great intro to online publishing.”
His fourth book, The Beginner’s Guide to Lucid Dreaming, is a bit of a departure from the mainstream. Lucid dreaming is the process of ‘waking up’ inside your dreams and controlling the direction they take. It has been documented for over a hundred years, but has just recently started becoming more accepted. His book introduces readers to the concept and then walks them through the process so they can start to use lucid dreaming themselves. Lucid dreaming is considered the ultimate visual motor rehearsal tool.
