Los Angeles - join Hazel Blue Studios (3058 ½ Glendale Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90039) for a night of healing, movement and awareness. Enjoy various modalities and yoga while contributing to bringing mindfulness and restorative justice to those in need. This event supports the work of James Fox. Many of those who are serving prison/jail sentences are highly traumatized individuals suffering from addiction, poor impulse control, and repeating the cycle of violence and victimization. Through Yoga and meditation, studies have shown a decrease in aggressive behaviors and an increase in confidence and accountability for one’s actions. As James Fox points out "Upon release from prison, what kind of person do you want returning to your community?" Tickets are available now for $30 online http://prisonyogaproject-es2.eventbrite.com/?rank=1# or $35 at the time of the event.
Proceeds benefit Prison Yoga Project. All practitioners (5:00-7:30pm) and yoga instructors (7:45-9:00pm) are donating their time for this great cause.
