Mr. Kimball is a distinguished veteran and dedicated public servant with a career spanning multiple sectors. Currently, he serves as the veteran liaison and public relations officer at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home and Memorial Park, a role he has held since 2024. In this capacity, he focuses on understanding clients' needs and requests, assisting with VA paperwork, engaging with veterans to initiate conversations and determining their eligibility for national cemetery prequalification. He also collaborates with local businesses and organizations for committee programs, negotiates corporate rates with local hotels and organizes table events and seminars for preplanning purposes. His extensive connections in the veteran community have expanded the company's planning scope, establishing partnerships with organizations like Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Kimball served as a veteran service officer for Disabled American Veterans from 2017 to 2020. In this position, he was instrumental in assisting veterans with their claims and benefits, leveraging his status as a VA-accredited veteran service officer. From 2014 until 2017, he was the chief operating officer at OC Consulting Group, where he also worked as an operations detector and senior project consultant between 2013 and 2017. His earlier career includes a tenure as an AML and BSA specialist at MandT Bank from 2011 to 2013.
Mr. Kimball's professional journey is deeply rooted in his military service. He served as an operation non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army from 2005 until 2010 before being medically retired. His military career took him across Europe, Asia and the Middle East, never returning to the United States until his retirement. He began his military journey with basic training at Fort Lewis before being stationed in Germany.
In addition to his professional roles, Mr. Kimball is actively involved in several industry-related organizations. He is a member of Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Wounded Warrior Project. His commitment to veteran causes extends to his civic involvement as well. Since 2024, he has been a member of the Tallahassee and Leon County Veteran Suicide Prevention Commission, a resource manager and peer mentor for the North Florida and South Georgia Wellness Coalition, a program manager for We Honor Veterans and a member of the support committee for the Tallahassee National Cemetery.
Mr. Kimball's educational background includes technical training in welding from a military technical school. He holds numerous certifications that have bolstered his career, including scuba certification and being a VA-accredited veteran service officer, a unit prevention leader for the Army Substance Abuse Program, a mail handler for the United States Postal Service and a nitrox diver for NAUI Worldwide, among many other accreditations.
Mr. Kimball attributes much of his success to his persistence, hardworking nature and problem-solving skills. Starting as an infantryman and later becoming a classified courier, he eventually became a subject matter expert in power generation and distribution. Notably, he authored the 2010 Army Tactical Operation Center Manual on power generation and distribution. His approach to challenges is characterized by an unwavering mindset that failure is not an option.
Looking ahead, Mr. Kimball aims to form a partnership to establish a VA hospice in North Florida and grow the Wellness Coalition into a robust organization that helps veterans access necessary care with a special focus on mental health recovery and reintegration into society. He also seeks to provide support for veterans in South Georgia and expand the affinity program in that area.
