Three feet of dust even if there is no wind, and a world of goat when it rains. That describes this unpaved avenue at the foot of the "Son of Heaven".
The door Yongdingmeng
The door Yongdingmeng (Eternal Peace) was at the south end of the north-south axis of the city. Its architecture was typical doors Beijing (Peking) and the Chinese tradition.
