New logo coming to Pre-College Development Academy (PCDA)

Pre-College Development Academy (PCDA) will have a new identity beginning with the 2022-23 season as they release a new logo that will stand the test of time. The new logo evokes an athletic, energetic spirit that rivals any logo currently on the market. Two shades of gray and an electric blue make up the PCDA color palette. The gray resembles the solid foundation that the student-athletes get when they attend the Development Academy, and the electric blue symbolizes youthful vision and excitement. The shield is classic soccer iconography and represents reverence for the sport. The icon is bisected, which depicts the “before and after” transformation one receives as a participant in the Development Academy. The shield also represents resilience that one gains at the AcademyThe hierarchy of the words in the logo represent cumulative growth, like skillsets that build on top of each other. The smaller, light gray type naturally leads into the next layer, and finally the acronym sits atop the stack proudly, advancing the brand forward, while the fonts chosen for the PCDA mark are an appropriate mix of modernity and timelessness. The confident letterforms provide a structured foundation for the brand. The variations in the weights of the font position it as a workhorse for the brand, appropriate for bold headlines as well as nuanced body copy.A member of the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL), Pre-College Development Academy has started the process of building a network of post high school residential soccer academies throughout the USA. PCDA's goal is to bridge the gap between youth soccer and YOUR "Next Level." This comprehensive program is designed to develop you on and off the field replicating a full European length soccer season and preparing you for the next level wherever that might be.Whether you have aspirations of playing college soccer in the USA, academy soccer overseas, or pursuing a professional career, remember you are still very young, have a lot to learn and likely need more time to develop physically. Statistics show you will need more time to develop and make an impact at the collegiate level.
