Recently, the 2020 Science and Technology Annual Meeting of the Guangdong Society of Environmental Sciences was held in Guangzhou Huatai Hotel. This conference conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges with the theme of "strengthening scientific and technological support and leading the continuous improvement of the ecological environment during the 14th Five-Year Plan".

Mr. Lu Xiulu, Director of the Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, attended the meeting, Hou Xuesong, Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences, Chen Jinluan, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, and Chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Society of Environmental Sciences attended the meeting and delivered speeches. The meeting was chaired by Chen Xiancheng, chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Environmental Advisory Expert Committee.

Chen Yong, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Peng Pingan, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Qu Jiuhui, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Assistant President of Jinan University, Dean of Institute of Environment and Climate Research, Vice Chairman of Provincial Society of Environmental Sciences Shao Min, Senior Executive of Environmental Information Center of Ministry of Ecology and Environment Engineer Fu Ning and others attended the opening ceremony and gave specially invited keynote speeches on environment and energy, dioxin pollution prevention and control, water environment quality improvement, air pollution and response to climate change, and ecological environment informatization.
