ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Feb. 18, 2021 -The team of expert marketers at Beacon Media + Marketing is going from strength to strength with two new recruits joining the company's headquarters in Anchorage, Alaska.

Hanna Heffern, an account manager, and Christian Bowers, a sales assistant, both have deep knowledge of the Alaskan small and medium-sized business landscape.

Heffern has broad marketing experience and has worked on campaigns from both the agency and client sides. She studied marketing at Montana State University in Bozeman and has worked for a number of well-known local companies, including the Alaska Club, First National Bank Alaska, and Arm Creative.

"I'm most excited about the diverse client roster we have at Beacon," she said. "Because I have experience on both sides, I get where the client is coming from and where the creative team is coming from. I have an empathetic approach I can use internally and externally to get results."

Bowers first worked at Beacon Media + Marketing as an administrative assistant, before moving to local Anchorage bakery A Pie Stop. He became a manager and part-owner, discovering a passion for Alaskan small businesses along the way, which prompted his return to marketing.

"It's been quite a journey and what brought me into sales over at Beacon is the business relations management. I'm excited to make Anchorage a better place to live and work," he said.

Beacon Media + Marketing's Chief Marketing Officer, Jennifer Christensen, is excited about the agency's continued growth. The team doubled its ranks in 2020, welcoming nine new recruits despite the challenges of working in a global pandemic. It's looking ahead to a bright 2021.
