Ashley Bendiksen, national speaker for youth and Top Youth Speaker®, will be hosting a powerful online workshop for fathers who are raising daughters. The event will take place February 23, 2021 at 4:00pm-5:30pm EST. Registration is required for viewing access. For dads with daughters, it's critical to understand what lies ahead for girls. This includes the disproportionately high prevalence of bullying, peer pressure, dating violence, and social media and internet risks. Left unaddressed and without guidance, this causes many girls to then battle with serious secondary social, emotional, and academic struggles.Titled, "Protecting & Raising Empowered Daughters," this 90-minute workshop will offer both education and advice for dads raising daughters of all ages - from early childhood to teenage years. Fathers who attend will gain education on the unique issues girls face, tips to guide and protect daughters, common warning signs and red flags to look out for, plus communication skills to ensure daughters seek their parents' help if ever in need. This workshop will also include the speaker's moving personal story as a survivor of teen dating violence, sexual assault, bullying, and severe self-esteem struggles. Attendees will spot common missed opportunities by parents and adults, similar to those in Ashley's story, and learn how they can be prepared and informed.Fathers interested in attending this workshop must register in advance.
