The Dirty Kind is a neo-noir that follows a young and inexperienced PI as he accidentally uncovers the murder of a local politician's call-girl mistress. Featuring a diverse cast and the gritty setting of Queens Boulevard, the movie is a modern love letter to a classic genre. The story is loosely inspired by the Anthony Weiner "sexting" scandal.
