TORONTO - Oct. 17, 2019 -Daniel McGuire's visually-striking short film "Aim High", produced by Maria Gagliardi of Black Ram Media and co-produced by Michael Pearson, makes it's proud return to the creative team's home-city of Toronto (of which the entire film shot on-location). After turning heads at festivals across North America such as the Calgary Horror Con, Iowa's Halloweenapalooza and the upcoming HEX After Dark and Northwest Film Festival, "Aim High" will once again proudly entertain Toronto audiences within the VideoDrunk festival running this November 28th to 30th.
Featuring Rebekka Gondosch from Hamilton and Toronto's own Michael Pearson and Trevor Ketcheson, the 17 minute short film's entertainment value is matched only by its difficulty to define. With equal parts comedy, suspense, and thriller, audiences across North America have come to agree one one thing: this exciting story is absolutely worth your attention.
Brody (played by Pearson) is on his way to save his deteriorating relationship with Clare (Gondosch). Unfortunately for him, she's not considering a break-up. She's considering a murder. Chilling inner-demons battle with a hopeless romantic in this visually striking dark comedy.
