Vision Elite Royalty Dance Project will present at the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival on October

ATLANTA - Sept. 28, 2019 - Vision Elite Royalty Dance founder Jane Johnson will present a strong message at The Atlanta Black Theatre Festival. Brown girls do ballet in her Vision Elite Royalty Dance Project. Her message stems from the lack of brown girls presence in professional companies. It should not take 75 years for a black ballet dancer to be celebrated. Our company will present on stages that will embrace the moment. Come see these young dancers in training as they tell their story through dance on the Atlanta Black Theatre's stage. Vision Elite Royalty's principal dancers consists of Mikayla Johnson, Shilo Cherry, Zajah Ellerbe, Qwoniya Mobley, Teon'a Newton, Zoe Marie, and Somya Earle. These young dancers will present pointe, ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop. The message is they will not wait another 75 years to be accepted in a company as principal dancers, so they created their own. Tickets are available through Eventbrite's website. Show date is October 5th, 2019 at 1pm at the Porter Sandford III Performing Arts & Community Center.
