HARTFORD, Conn. - Sept. 1, 2019 - Kalon has two new Fellows for this academic year.

The Kalon Fellowship, a selective, one-year program for students with demonstrated potential as advocates who will contribute to the social good. The fellowship is designed to dovetail with a student's busy life. After completing the Fellowship, we encourage our Fellows to maintain a relationship with Kalon as alumni, mentors to our Fellows, and continuing mentees.

Our Fellows have been offered clerkships, work in the public interest sector, and associate positions at large firms.

Kalon Fellows have the opportunity to work in a groundbreaking legal environment on human rights cases while developing their professional skills, power, and networks. Our fellows are members of The Kalon Human Rights Clinic and work directly with our clients, preparing cases for hearings and appearing in court. We mentor our fellows, teach them the Kalon Core Skills, and encourage them to develop their advocacy skills. Fellows are able to participate in our salons, our workshops, and in our advocacy project, Cicero.

We actively work with our fellows to network within their prospective career areas, connecting them with professionals and organizations to open opportunities and help launch their careers.
