Foods Pacific Group of Companies consists of Foods Pacific Ltd, Tripacific Marine and Pacific Feeds. Owned by one of Fijis most successful business men Mr George Patel.
The company has grown from its established success of Corned Meat processing and canning, which is still the heart of the business. Recent years has seen massive investment and growth in new areas, such as Ethnic Ready Meals, rices, sauces and spice.
Located close to the Port City of Suva, occupying several acres of property at Wailada Industrial Estate, the company boasts the largest canned food production plant in the region with daily production outputs of up to 70,000 cans. The plant is also equipped with latest innovative state-of-art facilities for processing and packaging of its wide range of ever growing products.
Manufacturing Facilities
Foods Pacific runs a fully automated production line, home to some well-known state of the art machinery. Keeping on par with global advancements in manufacturing technology is one of our primary objectives. In 1997, computer-controlled canning and sterilising machinery was brought from Europe to improve production. This was done to uplift the integrity of the can and enhance the quality of our products. It has also enabled us to attain much higher levels of efficiency.
Amongst our impressive inventory of machinery, is the renowned Batts cooker, which cooks all frozen meats, and the popular European Hema machines which are used in the filling, seaming, washing and canning processes. Our superior machines guarantee smooth production and efficiency levels, while ensuring our premier product quality.
Quality Assurance
The Foods Pacific Group currently employs approximately 500 local Fijian staff within its factories and offices. We have a highly skilled professionals workforce sourced from all over the world, with permanent representatives based in Australia, New Zealand and U.K. with regional representatives all over the Asia-Pacific region.
The company have adopted HACCP in our manufacturing process. The HACCP certification assures our customers that all international food hygiene and food safety standards are met and that the end product is of the highest quality. In addition, it ensures that staff skills and knowledge in the manufacturing process are constantly scrutinised and maintained.
