THM HISTORY & PHILOSOPHY
THM Precision Machining Ltd was founded in 2001 by a group of experienced engineers tired of the stigma associated with large Chinese manufacturing companies producing poor
quality, mass produced product with limited technical challenges.
These engineers wanted to develop a company where they could take pride in their work, strive to improve daily through continual challenges and learning, and be at the forefront
of an emerging breed of manufacturing companies that exhibit integrity, responsibility and accountability traits sorely lacking within the local manufacturing industry.
Drawing from their collective knowledge of the Chinese manufacturing industry, and its associated weaknesses, they set to identifying what systemic obstacles needed to be
removed in order for them to succeed where others had failed. The outcome of this failure mode analysis is astonishing in it's simplicity, but the logic rings true to any and
all who have sourced from China.
Communication is CRUCIAL
When conducting business with English speaking customers the customer point of contact MUST be fluent in both Oral and Written English. Fluent does not mean halting speech, and
comprehension of 60% of what you say or write, it means complete understanding, the ability to comprehend, analyse and respond to even the most technical of requirements.
In order to address this, our sales team is headed up by a native English speaking manager, who oversees all communication with our customers and if required or requested by the
customer, will be the sole point of contact.

The quality of product that you can produce is mainly dependant on the skill of the engineers, programmers and operators. Of course there are limits to machine capabilities but
9 times out of 10 failure to produce a product to specification lies within human error,NOT machine error.
To address this, THM conducts extensive internal training and mentoring programs to raise the skill level of it's workforce. Staff turnover is kept to a minimum by employing
drawing from the local population rather than migrant workers, as is the norm in Southern China.
