Established in 1988, surfrider's aim was to produce extremely high quality marine products, built to demanding commercial operator standards with enviable seakeeping qualities.
Since then, several hundred boats have been manufactured for professional operators across the world, enabling them to stay one step ahead of the competition.
To achieve its goal as the leading parasail boat manufacturer, surfrider international has adopted three basic principles...
Step one started in the design office, drawing on fifty years of commercial experience to provide the best foundations - a hull design unsurpassable and rarely equalled.
The advance deep v hull (43 degress moderating to 24 degrees) gives an extremely soft and dry ride. This is combined with flared chines minimising drag and inefficiency and high lift areas for easy planing and excellent stability - a combination so good that the warrior has been specifically rated not simple as an offshore boat but fully capable of crossing open seas. (rcd certification - european community). The warrior provides comfort, safety, and security - allowing you to continue operations in wind and sea conditions too much for other parasail boats.
Step two was to design a beautifully appealing superstructure and to make working the boat easy, relaxing and profitable.
To ensure the best we secured our own site on the french riviera where every season we do thousands of parasail flights and evaluate and improve our products in an unending quest for perfection.
This has resulted in better helm comfort, user friendly controls, improved helm vision, increased passenger space, three additional storage lockers (including huge flight deck 'chute storage)
Step three was to engineer our designs to produce an immensely strong boat facilitating easy maintenance and years of profitable service...
A few examples of our engineering standards...
Hull and decks built with the same quality materials and strength as current operational rescue craft. Balsa sandwich construction with heavy duty longitudinal and traverse strengtheners. Combined u and l beam deck joints bonded, fibre glassed and bolted for incredible strength.
Engines, winches and heavy duty equipment bolted to steel mountings encased under fibre glass. Lockers and hatches secured to metal backing plates. Built in corrosion proof fuel tanks. Easy access to engine, drive and winch system.
