Cargill, Sucden (Sucres et Denrees S.A.), Glencore and Czarnikow.
On the rice side we count on traders coming from Louis Dreyfus and Archer Daniels Midland.
With all this expertise we are able to serve our clients quickly and efficiently and provide a reliable supply of our commodities, rice and sugar.
SUGAR
We mainly buy our sugar in Brazil, as it is the largest producer of sugar, and can offer a wide array of types: Icumsa 45, Icumsa 150, raw sugar etc. Brazil is among the world leaders in the production of sugarcane, sugar and ethanol.
In addition, it is among the most efficient of all major sugar producers.
The country also produces and exports a diverse number of sugar products. Since Brazil can produce either sugar or ethanol from sugarcane, it is one of the few countries that can adjust sugar production rapidly to potential world sugar shortfalls and high international prices.
Most of our mills are in the State of Sao Paolo, so it is only natural that we ship from Santos. Only in some instances do we use another port.
RICE
As for rice, we buy mainly in Thailand, as it supplies the highest quality and supply is reliable. We are able to offer a full palette of rice types. Thailand has a strong tradition of rice production. It has the fifth-largest amount of land under rice cultivation in the world and is the world's largest exporter of rice. Thailand has plans to further increase its land available for rice production, with a goal of adding 500,000 hectares to its already 9.2 million hectares of rice-growing areas.
We ship from the largest port, Laem Chabang.
